There are quite a few unbelievably amazing locations throughout the country. We will be your right-hand man scouting possibly suitable locations for your shooting uopon your preferences and requirments.

Local producers /fixers who are keen to finding locations, and who is knowledgeable about permit are an ideal key to your production in Japan.

 
 

There are so many unbelievably amazing locations throughout the country. We can be your right-hand man to hunt / scout the locations for filmmaking and commercial photography upon your preferences or requirments. You might want to deal with a savvy experienced local fixer/producer to optimize your production needs. Better yet, s/he should be knowledgeable about local locations and can provide one-stop service from negotiation to the permit which is an ideal key.

Location Permits

Unlike other prefectures in Japan, In almost all places in Tokyo, you will be required to obtain shooting permits from established authority or organization in charge by applying with proper application form(s) , detailed plan and proposal of the project in advance which must be written in Japanese and signed or company sealed by the person in charge or representative. It totally depends on the location you apply for but the process often take more than 1 - 2weeks span including having necessary documents ready. 
Note that just making a phone call to the location on the day to film would highly likely to be refused in Tokyo. And they most likely will not accept a filming request directly from you if you do not speak or write in Japanese. FIXERTOKYO is able to apply for shooting permits on behalf of you as we have strong connections and relationships with many locations and organization in town. Our rich experiences surely make different!

We always hunt for interesting locations throughout Tokyo and surrounding area. We have produced countless unbelievably interesting and suitable locations for TV shows, documentary, promotinal music video, corporate branding film, and news & interview, etc. 
The location scout helps you, especially for the remote production, with bringing the vision to real life. With some guidance from the director, the location scout finds places to shoot that coincides with the director’s concepts and fits in your budget. FIXERTOKYO is capable of finding locations that match the script and storyboard given as much as possible. We often use our database but also do online research to gather necessary information.  Then we liaise directly with the location to find the availability for the shooting date as well as the fees. The location scout works out finally logistics with the crew and with the local officials who will give permission to film at the location.

They offer not only different size of the studios that is completely soundproofed but also necessary rental equipment and technical staff on set. The size of the biggest room is about W8m×D14m×H6m with a hair make-up room and can provide the service of LIVE streaming infrastructures with10Gbps speed.

The production vehicles can be hired and driven by a fixer or PA driver if you are a small crew with limited production budget. However, please note that finding a parking lot especially in Tokyo is quite time-consuming and sometimes it can be a nightmare if you are in rush. 
FIXERTOKYO also partners with a local location bus company as thick as thieves that provides amazingly full equipped bus + professional driver service in Tokyo. Having a production vehicle is considerable option in town to get things smooth out. 
About type of the vehicles, we can make numerous arrangements for your group to move from airport pickups to moving from each production location and to your accommodations.
